Year 5 Humanities workshop
Year 5 pupils from Haydonleigh Primary School took part in a Humanities workshop at Nova.
Pupils enjoyed sessions about how animals adapt to their surroundings in the tropical rainforests, including why big cats have such strong jaws and how birds camouflage themselves to avoid danger. They also learned about the Hindu festival of Holi; the legend behind the festival and how it is celebrated today. The Haydonleigh pupils were all keen to answer questions and join in, and they all seemed to enjoy the topics.
We were grateful to the Year 7 volunteers who helped to support the workshops.
