Year 10 Photography Workshop

Nova Hreod Academy / Categories: News

Last Friday our Year 10 photography students had a workshop visit from Mr Jack a polaroid and instant film enthusiast. He shared his love for photography and talked to the students through the origin of instant film and how it has inspired artist and photographers alike.

Students were then able to experiment with a range of cameras - from dental macro cameras, to pull apart pack film. The students were inspired by the materiality of instant film and to experience the range of film used and available to photographers and artists.

Many thanks to Mr Jack - who donated the polaroid film to the school to work use - as the film is sadly not produced any more. Miss Fegan Head of Creative Arts said "It was great to see the students buzzing and excited about the subject of Photography."
