X-Elle Girls Get Active

United Learning Girls Active Day at Swindon Academy

A group of Year 9 Girls were selected to attend a Girls Active Day at Swindon Academy. The event was part of X-Elle, a United Learning initiative to encourage girls to take part in sport.

The day started with an inspirational talk from Olympic skier Chemmy Alcott, about achieving your dreams and reaching for those goals no matter how hard life can be.

The girls then took part in lots of fitness activities, team building tasks and even made some healthy smoothies. All the girls had a great day and were a credit to the School.

Shaun Dowling, Head of Sport at United Learning, came along and personally thanked the girls for their enthusiasm and conduct throughout the day.
