Nova student runner-up in regional creative writing competition

We are very proud to announce that Maisey from Year 7 has been awarded Runner-Up in the Writing Ambassadors Award 2015. 

 

Nova Hreod students entered the first ever Swindon Schools’ Patron of Reading and Writing creative writing competition this term. 

 

 

 

The theme of ‘Tolerance’ resulted in some thoughtful  poetry and short story writing. Well done to Maisey (Year 7) and Harry (Year 8) who both qualified for the Swindon-wide judging with their impressive poetry. We are very proud of all the students who entered this creative writing competition and produced some inspiring work.

 

 

Author Joffre White, Swindon’s Patron of Reading and Writing, is pictured in the LRC with the trophy. Joffre, who is the Swindon Schools' Patron of Reading and Writing, “whittled some amazing entries down to a shortlist of six,” from which the Writing Ambassador 2015 and two runners up were chosen. The shortlist of names has been published on Joffre’s website www.joffrewhite.com

The top three entries will be published on Joffre White’s website and Maisey will attend a presentation with the Patron and students before the end of term.
