The Great Nova Bake Off

There was an air of fierce competition in the Food Technology department as staff battled for the title of Great Nova Bake Off Champion 2018 after school. Teams were given 3 hours to bake a cake based on their subject. Teachers from Science, Maths and English joined the Food Technology staff (who didn’t compete) to create some very impressive cakes. A team of judges marked the competition based on the appearance, taste and texture of the cakes, and declared Team English the winners with their Alice in Wonderland themed creation. Congratulations to Miss Maitland, Miss Pattle and Mrs Hobson.

After the judging, the cakes were sliced and sold in the atrium, raising over £140 for Cancer Research.
