Spotlight on Careers

A group of Year 9 students who have selected Computer Science as one of their GCSE option subjects next year, were invited to an interactive day with the ‘Spotlight’ on Careers in IT, Technology and Finance. This event was run by the Education Business Partnership in conjunction with Study Higher. Business professionals from MHA Monahans, The Nav People, HSBC and Travelport offered carousel activities to engage our students into find out more about their industries, job roles and entry requirements.

Students were introduced to new occupations such as a mortgage advisor, auditor, forensic accountant, software designer and product developer, marketing executive, sales consultant and account managers.

To conclude the day, a representative from Oxford Brookes University spoke about the different degree opportunities for entry into IT, Tech and Finance careers.
