Nova in Paris 2017
Over the weekend at the start of the May half term 5 staff and 35 students embarked on an epic journey to Paris! The journey was long (leaving at 7:20am arriving at 6pm!) but we made it safely in time for some activities before and after dinner. The following morning we were up early to start our sightseeing adventure, taking in beautiful works of art at The Louvre, lunching in the Tuileries Gardens, then walking up the Champs-Élysées (enjoying the shops along the way of course!) to the Arc-de-Triomphe. We then headed to the amazing Sacré Cœur with a fantastic view over Paris (and also indulged in a few shops and an ice-cream here too).
Sunday was another whistle-stop tour of some amazing sights; a view of the Eiffel Tower from Montparnasse Tower before walking underneath the amazing structure itself. We enjoyed eating our lunch on an open-topped cruise of the river Seine, going under the stunning bridges before finishing off with viewing the Notre-Dame Cathedral and an obligatory ice-cream here too (I can recommend the pistachio!).
Our last day was Disney which was thoroughly enjoyed by all, we were even lucky enough to find time to go from Walt Disney Studios into Disneyland just in time for the parade!
Our students were, as always, exceptionally well behaved and responsible during the whole trip. I was especially proud to see how well they conducted themselves in new situations, coping with routines and overcoming fears.
