Nova choir visit local care home
The Nova choir visited a local care home this week to entertain the residents. The residents enjoyed the songs and many of them joined in with the singing.
The school choir has only recently been formed but they performed beautifully. The children were wonderfully mannered and a credit to the school.
Our residents and staff all had a wonderful time singing along to the Christmas songs. We are very much looking forward to our next visit from them.”
Naomi Allpress, Cedars Care Home
The choir has performed in school but this is the first time they’ve been able to go out into the community. It was wonderful to see some of the residents singing along, especially when we did the Christmas classics. It was a great experience for the scholars, and we were made really welcome by the care home staff and residents. After the performance, we were even invited to stay for tea and enjoyed some biscuits which had been baked and decorated by the residents of the care home. We are very grateful to them for such a warm welcome.
Mr Griffiths, Head of Performing Arts
I really loved the visit to the care home, some of the people joined in singing and a couple of them even got up and danced, it was so much fun. Afterwards, we had gingerbread men that they’d made for us, it was great.
