New exhibition honours NHS workers

New exhibition honours NHS workers

Barbara Freeman / Categories: News

In the summer of 2020, the art department at Nova Hreod Academy offered a free portrait to any NHS key worker as part of the NHS Heroes campaign.

NHS workers were invited to send in a photograph, and our volunteers got to work on creating their portraits, as a tribute to the hard work and dedication that they were providing during the pandemic. Volunteers were made up of students, staff and ex-students, who all wanted to pay their respects and say thank you to our key workers.

Some amazing portraits were produced, using a range of media, and they are now on display in the school in a new exhibition.
