Joyful Colour Run rewards celebration
On Monday 17th March we had our second annual Nova House Colour Run event after school. Anyone with 5 or fewer demerits since September was invited and 100 places were on offer. Merits are regularly rewarded each week and term, but this event was to reward students for their behaviour, always doing the right thing and contribution to after school events.
We played Stuck in the Mitti (South Asian word for Mud), Tag and Bulldog. Each year group was able to be ‘it’ and each round of games was signalled by coloured smoke flares.
Suffice to say the students had an amazing time and the playground was left super colourful (until the rain washes it away!).
A massive thank you to everyone who helped (you know who you are) for your support in getting this event sorted behind the scenes and helping on the day, and also to Abby and Harry, our Y10 Wellbeing Ambassadors who helped the House Reps, especially in setting up and packing down.
We had some brilliant feedback from parents, including:
"Thank you, my child had a ball."
"Not sure my washing machine will be the same again 🫣."
"Thank you so much for organising this event!'
"Why couldn't we have stuff like this in school?"
