Holocaust Speaker
Our year 9 students had a unique opportunity to listen to the first hand testimony of Ernest Simon about his experience of Jewish persecution in Austria during the 1930s, and his evacuation to Great Britain during the Second World War. The students had the opportunity to ask questions and find out more about the events and Mr Simons himself.
Our students were fantastic as usual. Mr Simon described them as 'careful' and 'attentive' listeners and commented on the pleasant atmosphere in the room. The visit was co-ordinated with Holocaust Educational Trust.
I would like to say a thank you to students for their mature and responsible behaviour and the fantastic questions that they asked. You made us proud.
