“The Show was an amazing experience! Especially since the cast became a family in some way, where we were always supporting each other and helping each other through it. We really were all in it together!”

Gracie , Year 10

Our production of High School Musical was the first show to hit the Nova stage for many years and it really was a stunning display of the incredible talent of our young people.

Everyone involved worked incredibly hard to make the show a success, with months of rehearsals, dance lessons and singing practice. The hard work really paid off when the show came to life in front of a full house on Thursday and Friday evening.

There were too many fantastic performances to mention any names but we couldn’t be more proud of everyone involved; students from Year 7 to 11 worked together to bring the characters to life; the singing and choreography was outstanding. With the energy and enthusiasm which radiated from every performance, it was clear how much the students were enjoying themselves.

Our sincere thanks go out to all the scholars who gave us such an amazing performance, to the backstage and technical crew for a fantastic set, lights and sound; to the teachers who worked tirelessly to give us all an absolute delight of a show. Thank you also to Year 5 and Year 6 at Moredon Primary School who joined us for the dress rehearsal, and to the families and friends who came along and filled the theatre to see our scholars deliver a really energetic, professional performance.

We’re all waiting with bated breath to find out what the next production will be, but if it’s as good as High School Musical we’re all in for another treat.
