GCSE celebrations at Nova Hreod Academy
Students at Nova Hreod Academy in Swindon are celebrating after receiving their GCSE results.
Almost two thirds (62%) of students achieved a grade four or above in both English and maths, with 39% achieving grade 5 or above in both subjects.
Students at the school who have been awarded some of the top grades include:
- Jack Whittaker, who achieved four grade 9s, four grade 8s and one grade 7;
- David Kukula, who achieved three grade 9s, four grade 8s, one grade 7 and one grade 5;
- Rory Isherwood, who achieved three grade 9s, two grade 8s and four grade 7s;
- Madison Hall, who achieved two grade 9s, four grade 8s and two grade 7s;
- Luke York, who achieved one grade 9, three grade 8s, three grade 7s and one grade 6.
Commenting on students’ achievements, Sonja Unwin, Interim Principal at Nova Hreod Academy, said:
“Congratulations to all students celebrating their results today. Throughout their time at Nova, they have shown admirable commitment to their studies and I am so pleased they have received the results they deserve. As students take their next steps in their education, I would like to wish them the best of luck and thank them for the significant contribution they have made to our school. Equally, whilst I commend students for their efforts, I would also like to thank staff for their hard work and dedication.”
