Children in Need
On Friday 18th November, Mrs Powell and the student council organised a fantastic day for students at Nova Hreod when they helped to raise £1,156.85 for Children In Need by holding fundraising stalls and events. As well as making a voluntary donation for 'non-uniform' with many students wearing something spotty in the theme of the day, each tutor group came up with an idea and ran stalls during the morning and at lunchtime.
The atmosphere in the Atrium was electric as staff and students alike took part in the various activities. There were 20 different stalls, including a Lip Sync Battle and a Dance Off, a bottle flipping competition, guess the name of the teddy, Splat the Teacher, cake sales, a peg challenge, to name but a few. Everyone immersed themselves in the spirit of the day and we were very proud of the hard work that was put in by all the students.
