Catalyst scholars earn national award

Year 7 Catalyst STEM Stream scholars Samuel, Vedaansh, Logan, Kacper, Davi and Lewis in have all completed the CREST awards.

CREST is a nationally recognised scheme for student-led project work in the STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering and maths).

To achieve the award, the scholars chose to complete 10 hours' worth of scientific investigation into solving problems that consumers may face in regard to bath bombs. Some of the scholars investigated changing colours and others investigated how to make bath bombs fizzier. To do this they had to completed planning, experiments and conclusions for their chosen topic.
