A Magical Learning Adventure for Year 11
Mrs Malik and Mrs Evans took 66 Year 11 students to Harry Potter studios where they either joined an iMedia/Drama or Maths workshop followed by a tour of the Warner Bros Studios.
All the students were immersed in a live action show by Death Eaters and also linked careers in the film industry which heavily involved the Gatsby Benchmarks for cross curriculum subjects. All Year 11 students were given careers packs to take away and a complimentary full guide of the studios as a keepsake.
Maths and CAB department trips are part of the enrichment programme, as such they are a privilege to attend and only students meeting high attendance, good behaviour character standards, Sparx and coursework deadlines were eligible to attend.
Check out the comments from staff and students who were very impressed from all aspects of the trip.
It is highly recommended that the younger years work hard on Sparx, keep attendance high and behaviour exemplary in order to remain eligible to attend this trip in future years!
An excellent introduction to the concepts needed for the iMedia exam, linked in a really interesting way with lots of assets to look at Mrs Evans
The whole trip was truly amazing and lived up to my expectations in every single way, I hope other years will be lucky to go on this trip in the future as well. Thank you for the teachers who helped make it possible for us. Aysha

Students get to see examples of props and set design from the actual Harry Potter films. They get to learn about different camera angles and the term 'Mise en Scene.' Niall
